Birkdale Model Team Shoot

Phew! Y'all, I'm exhausted and only half way through my crazy season. Lol. Sadly, there hasn't been much time for blog posts, which of course isn't great for SEO/Google rankings/all the internet nerdy things. I actually secretly love putting together these posts. A couple of years before I picked up my camera, I was part of the OG onslaught of "mommy bloggers". I wrote about our early married life, then eventually life with a newborn, raising a toddler, autism, etc. Obviously the more kids you have, the less time there is for things like writing. So this little space gives me a few minutes to flex those muscles again. And with pretty pictures!

My "busy season" begins in September but really ramps up in October and November. I'm booked every weekend, editing, designing albums, putting in orders, scheduling appointments... it can be a lot, especially on top of trying to be a semi-decent mom and not let the TV raise them for a couple months. Lol. I wanted to try and do another model team shoot before my schedule got really hectic, so a few of us met at Birkdale in Huntersville for some model team fun.

I always love being able to catch up and have a little creative fun with my girls. Obviously not everyone can make every shoot. I get that people have lives and other activities they can't miss. But anytime we can get a decent group of us together, we have a great time. Birkdale is one of those places that's just perfect for photos. I worked there for years during college and my early married years before kids. Unbeknownst to us, there was actually an event going on that evening. At first, I was nervous that this would rain on our photo parade, but it ended up making it even more fun. We dodged the crowds, and it actually gave us a fun backdrop.

You may have noticed another new face. Lily S found me via Wildflower model grad Baylee, and she's such a cool girl. An incredible softball player, she's the perfect combo of beauty and talent. Birkdale was her first shoot with me, and she rocked it. It was also great for her to be able to meet a few of the other girls.

We had a great time at our Birkdale model team shoot and a few of us finished off the night with some pizza back at my place. Definitely looking forward to when my schedule slows down a bit again and we can do another one!
