I actually became friends with Celia's mom a couple of years before I ever got to meet Celia. Her mom was my son's in home therapist for awhile, and I got to hear plenty of Celia stories while she was here. Eventually Celia joined my Wildflower Model Team, and we've had such a fun time getting to know each other! Celia is one of those effortlessly cool artsy types. She loves anything vintage and loves to thrift and create and isn't afraid to try new ideas, even if they don't always work out the way she expected. She loves to think outside the box and explore her creativity. That's how I knew her senior shoot would be one for the books. She wanted to go where most others never bother going or wouldn't think of. So we began her shoot at a hole in the wall record store out in the middle of nowhere basically. lol And it was SO COOL.
Oh does something in the background look familiar? Maybe from a little film called The Hunger Games? Told you we found some cool places to shoot at. ;) I also love that it added to the whole vintage kind of feel, because now that the lot is closed to the public and Hunger Games is now over 10 years old, by the time she's grown with a career and family of her own, it will definitely be considered vintage. Crazy right??
We also hit this random side of the road spot under a railroad bridge that was just incredible.
We ended her gorgeous senior session on her grandparents' farm. Celia basically grew up here, and she really wanted to incorporate a meaningful location into her shoot. She also requested to use her grandpa's vintage truck. For both outfits, she chose to borrow from the Wildflower Style Closet... the first was a pretty cream colored boho dress, the second was a gorgeous dark teal-ish skirt to go with her amazing corset top. Both worked perfectly for this spot.
I had the best time with Celia on her shoot. We laughed, explored, and got some pretty incredible shots to show from our day. I'm so happy she joined the team, and even happier that she's sticking around to help on future shoots! You may just get a chance to meet her at your senior session!
