We met up in Davidson one evening, not too long before July 4th. I adore shooting in Davidson. There's just so much to work with. You can get both the cute main street look, then head to a few lesser used areas for a more gritty/urban look.

One of the ideas I had was using a combination of off camera flash with some twinkly lights. Unfortunately, I couldn't get an assistant that evening, which made this a bit tricky. Lol. Usually, I'm fine with regular lighting, but I needed someone to hold the twinkly lights for me. Sarah obviously couldn't help me, and I was determined to the get the shot in my head! I found a random water pipe on the side of the building, hung them strategically on that, and we shot on the ground in order to get those images. Sarah was such a trooper. I'm sure she thought I was ridiculous. haha! But I'm in love with how they turned out!

Since we were so close to July 4th, I brought some sparklers to play with. Why not be festive? ;) Plus that jumpsuit!! So beautiful!!
