Bloom with Gracie – Peach Orchards Senior Model Session
I could see it coming. Covid19 had made its way to Mecklenburg County, and there were talks of a stay at home order coming soon. Usually in the Spring, I’m gearing up for our next Wildflower Model Team shoot, and I hadn’t had the opportunity to photograph any of our new girls that recently joined over the winter. One of the fun parts of being on the model team is doing spontaneous shoots. Basically I text my team, ask who is up for a shoot, and whoever can make it shows up. This one was super last minute, but Grace happened to be available! I knew the peach orchards were in bloom, so Gracie met me at one of my favorite farms for a quick senior model session.
The dress she chose for these was perfect… bright, springy, and adorable. It went perfectly with those soft pink blooms. I love playing in the peach orchards (don’t worry, we’re very careful not to ruin any blooms), and I’m so thankful Bush n Vine is nice enough to allow us to use their property. And in case you weren’t aware, they have the cutest shop to buy fresh produce (and other goodies).
We also found this really pretty spot nearby with the cutest yellow flowers. No way was I going to let her leave without grabbing a couple shots there too. 😉
Gracie is such a sweet girl, and I had the best time finally getting her in front of the camera. I’m so glad we were able to do this, because just a few days later, our state went on a stay at home order. Which, like many other places, meant professional photography was non-essential and my camera got to take a nap for a couple months. But we have another shoot planned soon, and I can’t wait!
