Bri’s NoDa and Hough High School Senior Session

When Bri came in for her initial consultation, I immediately loved how sweet and down to earth this girl is. She knew exactly what kind of feel she was going for with her senior session, which is always helpful. She opted for the Full Senior Experience and narrowed her locations down to NoDa (a popular choice for Wildflower seniors 😉 ) and her field at Hough High School.

Her day began with professional hair and makeup at my studio. Jennifer made her look just beautiful, keeping her look just a step above natural. I’ve noticed a lot of my senior girls recently loving a more natural look for their sessions. It’s always fun to see these slight shifts in trends with each year. I think the more natural look definitely keeps your senior photos more timeless.

After getting all dolled up, we headed down to NoDa to begin her senior session. It was a gorgeous afternoon, and I made sure to hit some favorite spots. Even though I’m shooting in NoDa pretty often, often in similar areas, I always make sure to keep each session unique to that particular senior. I’m sure you’ve heard how you could have several different photographers shooting the same thing, and the results will all be unique to them… well the same applies here! I can give a few seniors similar posing directions in a similar location, and I will still get completely unique shots. This is probably why I love NoDa so much though. There is SO much to work with in such a small area. And it helps that it’s full of artists, so no one (at least not the ones who are there all the time) is bothered when we take up a parking spot for a minute. haha. Bri looked amazing, and both of her outfit choices were perfect for that area.

Bri happens to be a part of Hough High School’s athletic team (which, how cool is that?!). Since she plans on eventually getting her Masters in athletic training, it was really important to incorporate this into her session. After NoDa, we met up at Hough’s football field, where we got some shots of Bri that 100% represent her and her goals. At her consultation, she mentioned that she really wanted some sparklers incorporated as well. Sparklers are so fun to play with when it comes to photos, so we had a good time with those. 😉

Bri is just so sweet, so adorable, and clearly very smart. I’m so excited to see her achieve her dreams at UofSC and make a difference in people’s lives. Congrats Bri! You’re going to do great things!!
