Family Halloween and Christmas Photos – Davidson, NC
This adorable family may seem familiar to some of my long time followers. I began photographing them a couple of years ago when Zechariah turned two years old. Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of capturing their sweet memories twice a year. Sarah happens to be a very talented interior decorator, and each of their sessions is always so well thought out by her. This year, she wanted to incorporate a really fun idea for their Christmas card photos as well as knock out some really cute Halloween shots towards the end of their session. We met at one of my favorite places in Davidson, NC on Halloween weekend, so it was the perfect timing!
Families, take note. You can truly get SO much out of your family session if you do enough planning… something I’m absolutely happy to help with by the way, and included in your session fee! Since Sarah is an interior decorator, she had the most gorgeous wreath to add for their Christmas photos! Normally I’m not a big prop girl, but I’m always up for whatever clients want to bring. Especially for special occasions like this.
You wouldn’t believe how many moms are always so worried their kid is the only one making it hard to get in the car. Or that their child is crying or throwing a fit or arguing with their sibling. YOU GUYS, IT HAPPENS TO EVERY FAMILY! Even mine!! Parents, please don’t be so hard on yourselves during photo sessions. Kids are kids. And Sarah had the funniest story (although probably not at the time to her). That day while Sarah was trying to get them ready, Zechariah managed to lock her out of the house! Lol. And you know what? The bonus of having a photographer who is also a mom, I have a thousand stories just like that. I told her about the time Noah locked me out of our house, and I had to scale our privacy fence to get back in. Lol. And even after all that craziness, look how insanely CUTE this family is!
Anyone else want to eat his cheeks? His cuteness is just too much. And yes, his personality is just as cute. I also want to take a minute to tell you just how sweet and thoughtful his momma is. Not only does she now send us a Christmas card with their photos on it, but she also dropped off the most adorable reindeer cookies when she picked up her order! I seriously have the best clients.
After we got the perfect family Christmas photos, some individual shots, and several sweet family images, these guys switched to their Halloween costumes. They picked one of the busiest weekends of the season. This session happened the same weekend as the last two blog posts! So can I just say how hilarious it was to watch the other photographers with their dressed up clients turn around to stare at Batman walking around the field? LOL. I mean, how cute are they?! I love that they do this every year. It’s such a fun way to get more out of your session than just classic family photos.
I just can’t get enough of this family. They’re one of the reasons I haven’t given up family photography to focus on one niche. I would miss them (and my other families) so stinking much!
