One of my favorite phrases to hear from my seniors is "I'm terrible at taking photos!" My brain immediately says "challenge accepted". haha You guys are not even going to believe it when I tell you that Ellie was one of those seniors. She's so cute and so sweet, and she had no problem just going with whatever I suggested. Her mom is just as adorable. As a girl mom, she is totally prepared for everything and even brought a rolling suitcase for all of the outfits, all nice and neatly packed. I could've kissed her for that. LOL
For her senior session, we ventured to downtown Winston Salem first to capture some adorable images in her cap and gown paired with Carolina blue! After that, we headed to the flower fields where she chose to wear the most gorgeous long white dress. Ellie wasn't quite convinced how it would look when we talked at her consultation, but I think it was the perfect option! The white made her stand out against the gorgeous colors but the adorable embroidered daisies kept it from being too plain. I always encourage my seniors to accessorize, so I was so excited when she brought her cowgirl hat. It added the perfect touch to the beautiful setting!
I remembered her telling me the cute blue dress was her favorite, and I knew exactly where I wanted to use it... the daisy field! While I know mid-May isn't exactly the most convenient for senior photos considering it's SO close to graduation, it's truly the BEST time to get a variety of the spring flowers. The Larkspur blooms and creates the most stunning sea of blue and purple... perfect for someone headed to Chapel Hill! ;)
I had the best time with sweet Ellie. For someone a little camera shy, she absolutely owned this whole shoot. It was such a privilege to be the one to help her feel comfortable and come out of her shell a little so we could get the most beautiful flower field senior photos!
