Mikaila’s NoDa Senior Session
I have been dying to share Mikaila’s NoDa senior session photos!! She is a local class of 2019 senior, and I was thrilled when her mom contacted me for her portraits. She is such a sweetheart. Mikaila has such a cool vibe about her… calm, easy to be around, artistic, and super smart. She’ll be heading to Chapel Hill in the Fall, and I know she’s just going to love it there. Mikaila’s style is definitely less girly, more cute/casual with an artsy flair. While she’s technically from Davidson, which is awesome of course… I knew NoDa would be perfect for her.
Aside from her cool personality, she is clearly drop dead gorgeous too. It was like photographing a beautiful fairy. 🙂 The girl doesn’t take a bad photo, which made my job both easier AND more difficult! How to cull down a session where she looks good in every photo?? haha
Each session, whether you choose the Full or the Express experience, allows enough time for outfit changes. Mikaila opted for this adorable floral dress. I loved it. Senior sessions should absolutely reflect you and your own personal style. As the photographer, I always love seeing what these teens decide to bring. While I certainly help guide my clients in their outfit choices, I want them to choose pieces that represent them.
It’s always so fun to see my seniors’ faces light up when seeing their photos for the first time at their ordering appointment. I think that’s probably my favorite part of my job. I know some photographers just deliver an online gallery and call it a day. But to actually watch my clients’ react to their photos for the first time? TOTALLY the BEST. It keeps me motivated and reaffirms that I’m doing what I’m called to do. I truly hope Mikaila (and all of my other seniors) look back at their beautiful artwork years from now and smile. Want to see more from Mikaila’s session? Check out her custom slideshow! I create one of these for every client at their ordering appointment, and it’s definitely a favorite part of the Wildflower experience.
I’m now booking Class of 2020 seniors! Ready to get started? Let’s do this!
