Miss Southpoint Headshots
Back in January (yes, I realize how far behind I am in blogging), Wildflower Model Lilly told me she had decided to compete in this year’s Miss Southpoint pageant at her high school. She was in need of some headshots for it, so we met up one afternoon to knock those out. I wanted to make sure the photos she got were perfect for what she needed, but I also wanted to make sure that her images were different from what everyone else was getting. Coincidentally, it was almost two years ago that we had done her last headshot session that landed her a job at the popular Gastonia boutique, Bubba Jane’s, as a cutie patootie sophomore. Good, professional headshots matter, y’all!
Since her school is in the heart of beautiful Belmont, we decided it would be best to do them there. However, I’ve shot in Belmont many times and didn’t want the usual (expected) “fountain shot”. haha No hate against the fountain, I just prefer the less obvious. 😉
I adore downtown Belmont! It’s so cute and perfect for something like this. We used the Main Street area with all its cute shops and tree lined sidewalks. We then headed to the park, where we threw a little green in the mix. I also have a favorite spot nearby that I’ve used before on shootouts with my Diva group.
I’m happy to report that not only did Lilly’s headshots get featured on several international senior instagram accounts, but more importantly, she was 2nd runner up in the pageant! My husband and I were there to watch her compete, and she was amazing! Congrats Lilly!!
