If you weren’t already aware, when I’m not busy with families and seniors, I also fill my calendar with the occasional headshots and branding. It’s fun to switch gears and photograph other professionals. David happens to be a local realtor with Keller Williams. While he has been a realtor since 2003, the world of business has obviously changed, and it was time for him to start an online presence.
It doesn’t matter if you were in business pre-internet or were born when MySpace was already up and running. If you are trying to represent yourself as a true professional… a master of your niche… then you need to make sure your headshots reflect that. Gone are the days of just looking someone up in the phone book. You now need photos for your instagram content, your LinkedIn profile, marketing materials, and website.
David and his lovely wife arrived at my office. He told me that regular classic studio style headshots would be fine. However, I decided to offer him a casual, outdoor option as well. I follow a couple of local realtors and try to keep up with the trends. A studio headshot is perfect for business cards and LinkedIn, but for more relaxed online platforms such as instagram and Facebook, an outdoor option is great to have.
It was a pleasure working with David. He has such a warm, approachable personality, and I think his images ended up reflecting that well. And of course, if you’re looking for a fabulous realtor in the Lake Norman area, I know a guy! 😉
