Caroline and her mom were one of the first Class of 2025 clients that got in touch with me. While Caroline knew she wanted spring, her mom wasted no time to get on my calendar... she booked in the summer of 2024! This is why I try to warn people to get in touch early, because I can't ever guarantee dates won't fill up fast. But it helps that this wasn't mom's first rodeo with senior photos. A couple of years ago, I had the pleasure of photographing Caroline's older sister Jenna. It's always so cool to see how similar yet different siblings can be when it comes to photoshoots. Jenna opted for mostly city, while Caroline really wanted flowers.
But first, we did get a little bit of city in by starting in downtown Winston Salem at one of my most requested spots for college merch. ;)
Somehow we ended up picking the busiest day of spring for a photoshoot, because we showed up to some sort of music event which shut off the park. lol Then (this one I already knew about) the farm we use for the flowers was having their annual poppy festival. I'm so grateful Caroline wasn't phased by it and did such a great job rolling with all the extra people. The cool part is they had a hot air balloon that day, so we got a couple of awesome shots of it in the background. She's the only senior I had this spring that got that! ;)
