Sydney in the Snow
We had a pretty mild winter this year when it came to snow. I know many North Carolinians were probably loving it, but I happen to be one of the ones that gets excited the second Brad Panovich says “possible chance”. If I even think it smells like snow outside, I’m bringing in the firewood and starting the soup. Lol. This year, it wasn’t much and didn’t last long, but it was enough to make this Southern girl’s snow loving heart happy. Every year, I get so bummed that the roads are too slick and I don’t have a Wildflower model close enough to photograph in the snow. Enter Sydney. This adorable and super sweet girl happens to live a street over from me. She also joined the Wildflower Model Team this year AND did a fantastic job babysitting our three kids, including the one that thinks pants are optional, lol (#autism). As soon as I saw snowflakes falling, I texted her to see if she’d be up for an impromptu shoot. And so I’m titling this “Sydney in the Snow” ;).
While Sydney is obviously gorgeous on the outside, she’s even more beautiful on the inside. She has a heart for kids with special needs and different abilities and volunteers at Camp Joy. As an autism mom, this gets major cool points from me. Our oldest will be 11 soon, and we can’t exactly hire just anybody to babysit all three with his needs. While he’s generally pretty chill and easy, I like knowing someone familiar with autism will be extra patient and understanding if…. say… he decides it would be fun to squeeze all the toothpaste out of the tube in the bathroom. Lol
Sydney will be a senior this coming year, and I’m so excited she’s on the Wildflower Model Team! It’s going to be a lot of fun! Thanks for playing in the snow with me, Syd! 🙂
