Uptown Charlotte Senior Pictures
I met Megan over two years ago at her friend’s birthday party at Mac Tabby Cat Cafe. While I was working, I remember thinking how cute and genuine these girls were. It was so nice to see a group of 15/16 year olds just being silly and normal. My first impression of Megan was that she has a natural calm about her. In fact, she became a bit of a cat whisperer, and cats only do that with people who have an innate relaxed vibe. She eventually joined the model team, and fast forward a little bit… here we are for her senior pictures! Megan wanted to do her Wildflower Senior Experience in uptown Charlotte, but she’s also very much a nature girl. So we did a little of both, just to give her some variety.
She began her senior experience in Megan Oliveri’s studio, who did a wonderful job on keeping her look very minimal and natural. Megan rarely even wears makeup, so it was important to keep her looking as natural as possible while still camera ready.
Afterwards, we headed to one of my favorite spots, literally 5 minutes from Megan O’s studio, for some outdoorsy pictures. We actually finished with hair and makeup a bit early, so going here first was a great choice. There was a Panthers game going on, and I felt if we waited a little bit, it would give us time to avoid post-game traffic. Megan chose two outfits for this location: one more casual and one more dressy. I love providing a couple of different options for seniors, and both of these were so perfect.
We then headed to uptown Charlotte. We did run into a little traffic, but thankfully I took my husband with us for this session. We were able to hop out of the car and get some adorable city shots before going on to Romare Bearden. I loved the outfit Megan chose to start with. It was so cute and definitely fit the uptown vibe.
I love using Romare Bearden anytime I’m in Charlotte. For a long time it was actually off limits to professional photographers, so now that we’re able to use it, I feel like I appreciate it more. Lol. It really is a cool little park. It gives a great view of the buildings, a little green, the French Quarter, and even a waterfall structure with colorful lights. There’s so much to work with here, and I make sure to hit as much of it as I can. Seriously so perfect for senior pictures!
We didn’t finish up until it was dark, and after several hours of being in model mode, I’m sure she was so ready to get comfy again. Lol. But she was absolutely awesome and seriously one of the sweetest girls I’ve ever met.
